
She was a devoted and active follower of Jesus Christ and touched many lives in a positive way as a result of her strong faith.

Iva was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a former schoolteacher and an employee of the Lawrence County Senior Center, where she retired at age 90. She was involved in the PTA and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Iva was active in Girl Scouts and 4-H clubs, and because of her 4-H involvement had a bridge on Solida Road named in her honor. She regularly attended South Point Church of the Nazarene, where she was a member of the Golden Girls. She was the oldest living member of South Point United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, superintendent of the childrens department and a lay leader. Iva was a Cornerstone founder of Durbin Cyrus Chapel.

a daughter, Ginger Davis a grandson, Matthew Clinton Davis three brothers and seven sisters. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William C.

Iva was born in Durbin on March 20, 1912, the daughter of the late Sherman Cortsel and Sarah Frances Franklin Black. 1, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. Iva Lillian Black Fields, 96, of South Point, Ohio, passed onto her eternal home with sweet Jesus, her Lord and Savior on Jan.
